These terms cover your use of this website. In short: the site is free, it is information plus a referral link, it is not a lender and not advice, and any loan you sign later is a contract with the lender under Ontario law.
What this site is and is not
Payday Loans Windsor is a publisher. It explains how payday loans and installment loans work in Windsor and Essex County under Ontario and federal law and, through the apply link, connects you to a separate application platform used by licensed Canadian lenders. The site does not lend money, does not make credit decisions, holds no licence under the Payday Loans Act because it does not need one, and never receives your application.
Accuracy and updates
We work from the Payday Loans Act, 2008, the federal Criminal Interest Rate Regulations and the guidance Consumer Protection Ontario publishes, and we check the figures when any of them change. The "last updated" date at the top of each page tells you when it was last reviewed.
Laws and products change, so a page can lag. If a figure here and a lender's disclosure disagree, the disclosure is what you are signing, and if it shows more than $14 per $100 on a payday loan or more than 35% APR on an installment loan, walk away.

The referral relationship
When you click apply you leave this site, and if a loan funds, the lender pays us a referral fee. That fee is between the lender and us; it does not change your fee, your rate or your repayment, and it is never charged to you. The about page describes the arrangement and the privacy page covers what the link carries.
Your loan agreement is with the lender
Any loan you take is a contract between you and the licensed lender named on the agreement, governed by that agreement and by Ontario law. A payday loan runs under the Payday Loans Act, 2008: the two business day cancellation right, the ban on rollovers and concurrent loans, the extended payment plan on a third loan within 63 days and the $14 per $100 cap all come from that Act and from the lender's licence with Consumer Protection Ontario, not from these terms.
An installment loan runs under its own agreement and the 35% federal ceiling. Complaints about a lender's conduct go to the regulator, as the complaints policy explains.

Acceptable use
You may read, link to and quote short passages from this site with attribution. You may not copy pages wholesale, scrape the site, present its content as your own, or use it to send unsolicited messages. The site is written for adults in Canada; the age of majority in Ontario is 18.
Limits on liability
The site is provided as it is. We accept no liability for decisions you make on the basis of it, for the conduct of any lender or the platform, or for the site or the platform being unavailable when you need them. Where Ontario or federal law does not allow a limit like this, the limit does not apply.

Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms when the site or the law changes, and the date at the top moves when we do. Using the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. Questions go to the address on the contact page.
